From understanding comes strength
As a Banchory Academy teacher or parent/carer you are automatically a member of BAPTA
(Banchory Academy Parent Teacher Association) which aims to forge links between home

These extra funds are spent on providing additional resources for the school and its pupils. In the past monies raised have provided seating in the main hallway, the Millennium Garden, PA system, lighting for the drama department, football strips, goal posts, table tennis tables, various other sports equipment and various CD roms, books etc.
The committee would welcome any suggestions for future functions and fund raising events and you are welcome to attend any committee meeting.

Kids Quiz and Pizza Night – A night for the kids dates to follow for 2017 – The popular
quiz master returns but this time the challenge of the young who will win teams of
the young face the enduring quiz master ( no pressure) keep an eye open for this
Keep an eye on the website or text messages more fund raising venues to come. We are a charity fund—you can also find gift aid details within the school web site for all donations.
Thinking on having a Spring clear out? Then think this date as the PTA will be looking for all your unwanted clothes, shoes, bags etc. Collection bags will be issued by the school, but no special bag is required—you can even use a bin liner and drop it off at the school in the morning.
As well as raising vitally needed funds for the PTA it also helps the environment by helping to divert unwanted textiles away from landfill. A recent DEFRA report has shown that textile collection schemes are helping to reduce the volume of textiles discarded as municipal solid waste. However it is a fact that as a nation we still send 350,000 tonnes of textiles to landfill every year.
Please donate unwanted textiles – this can include adults’ and children’s clothes, shoes (tied together please), hats, belts, handbags and soft toys, (please refer to or full details).
